Sam Lyon releases debut album ‘What It Is To Know Colour’!

In 2021 rising artist Sam Lyon set up a crowdfunding campaign to raise money to fund the production and release of her debut album. Now after 2 years of hard work, of which includes writing, recording, planning, single releases, and live shows, Sam has finally released ‘What It Is To Know Colour’.

The album contains 13 tracks in total, including the popular single ‘Faster Than Our Footsteps’ and latest release ‘Altered’. '‘What It Is To Know Colour’ combines both Sam’s vocal talent, as well as her ability to find the perfect orchestral arrangement to compliment each song.

As Sam is an independent artist, she has worked tirelessly from start to finish on each track. This hasn’t stopped her from creating an album that is full of personality and emotion, giving listeners an insight into her personal life, while also showcasing her vulnerability.

Upon ‘What It Is To Know Colour’ being released, Sam shared a heartfelt post on social media, thanking everyone who has helped provide her this opportunity.

Since its release on Friday (6th October), Sam has been shipping numerous physical copies of the album to fans, even having to order more to keep up with demand. The upcoming artist is also set to hold an album launch concert next week (Thursday 12th October at 7:30pm), thus providing a further experience for her listeners. It will be held at St Mary’s Creative Space in the city of Chester and will feature Gigi Harland as the support act. Tickets are still available for the event, click here to get yours.

In conjunction with ‘What It Is To Know Colour’ being available, Sam has released a new clothing range which features designs that relate to her music. These can be found either on her official website or at the launch concert.
